What the badges mean on this 2TB list
A row tagged "Fits PS5" is the heatsink version of a model in the table above. A row tagged "Check height" has a heatsink we have not been able to verify, usually from a smaller brand: compare the listing's stated height with 11.25mm before you buy.
At 2TB nearly all drives are single-sided, so the heatsink sits on top and the underside is bare. That keeps the stack comfortably inside the limit.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest 2TB PS5 SSD with a heatsink?
Cheapest today: Fikwot FX910 2TB SSD M.2 2TB NVMe at £246.99 (£123.50/TB), as of 21 October 2026.
At 2TB, whose heatsink is confirmed to clear the PS5 limit?
The heatsink versions of Samsung 990 Pro, Samsung 9100 Pro, Samsung 980 Pro, WD_BLACK SN850X, WD_BLACK SN850P, SanDisk Optimus GX PRO 850P. They are verified at model level, from published dimensions or the maker's statement.
Is a 2TB drive with a heatsink dearer than a bare one?
Usually by a few pounds. A slim third-party heatsink costs roughly £8 to £12, so a fitted one is worth it unless the bare drive is cheaper by more than that. Compare with the main 2TB page, which lists both.
Is fit different on the PS5 Slim or Pro at 2TB?
No. The size limits are identical across the range, at 11.25mm of thickness and 25mm of width.
