Heatsink and bare WD listings look alike
It is easy to order the wrong one: WD's bare and heatsink listings read almost the same. Each has a different model code, and that code or the title is what we go by. Product descriptions are ignored for this, because a bare drive's description often advertises the heatsink edition.
Of the 17 WD heatsink listings in stock, 9 are tagged "Fits PS5". If the heatsink version costs much more than the bare drive, compare with bare PS5 SSDs plus a slim standalone heatsink.
