"Fits PS5" and "Check height" at 4TB
Two tags appear in the price table. "Fits PS5" means the listing is a heatsink SKU of one of the verified models above. "Check height" means the drive has a heatsink but we hold no dimension for it, so the listing's own figure has to be set against the 11.25mm limit.
At 4TB most drives are double-sided, with chips on the underside of the board. Sony allows 2.45mm below the board, which covers them, but it is one more reason to prefer a heatsink designed for the console.

Frequently asked questions
Which 4TB PS5 SSD with a heatsink costs least right now?
Cheapest today: fanxiang NVMe SSD 4TB M.2 Heatsink PCIe Gen4 at £439.99 (£110.00/TB), as of 21 October 2026.
Which 4TB heatsink SSDs are known to fit the PS5?
The heatsink versions of Samsung 990 Pro, Samsung 9100 Pro, WD_BLACK SN850X, WD_BLACK SN850P, SanDisk Optimus GX PRO 850P, Crucial T500. They are verified at model level, from published dimensions or the maker's statement.
Is a 4TB drive with a heatsink dearer than a bare one?
Usually by a few pounds. A slim third-party heatsink costs roughly £8 to £12, so a fitted one is worth it unless the bare drive is cheaper by more than that. Compare with the main 4TB page, which lists both.
Do these 4TB drives fit every PS5 model?
One set of limits covers the PS5, PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro (11.25mm thick, 25mm wide), so a drive that fits one fits them all.
