Yes. An M.2 SSD from a PS5 is a standard NVMe drive and works in a PC that has an M.2 slot. The PS5 formats it in its own way, so the PC will not read the games: you reformat it there, which erases everything. Put back in a PS5 it would then need formatting again.

Moving a drive from PS5 to PC
- Move or delete the games on it first if you want to keep them: see how to move games to a PS5 SSD.
- Power the console off fully and unplug it, then remove the drive from the bay.
- Remove the heatsink only if it is a clip-on type; do not prise off a factory-fitted one.
- Fit the drive in the PC and initialise and format it in the operating system's disk tool.
Will it fit the PC?
A drive with a console heatsink is too thick for most laptops and may foul a motherboard's own M.2 cover. If the drive may end up in a laptop, buy a bare drive and a separate heatsink for the console.
