Speed will not separate them in a console: each is above the 5,500 MB/s Sony recommends. What does is endurance and fit, which favours the Kingston FURY Renegade. If the 990 Pro is clearly cheaper per terabyte today, that is reason enough to choose it instead. Today only the 990 Pro has a compatible new listing in stock, at £424.87 (£212.44/TB), as of 21 October 2026.
