Is the TeamGroup MP44 compatible with the PS5?
TeamGroup's page quotes read and write speeds of up to 7,000 and 6,000 MB/s and endurance from 500 TBW at 1TB to 4,000 TBW at 8TB. Watch the suffix: the MP44L is a slower drive that is below Sony's recommendation, and the MP44Q is a separate QLC model.
Does the TeamGroup MP44 fit with its heatsink?
There is no heatsink edition of the TeamGroup MP44. You will need to fit a slim M.2 heatsink before installing it, because Sony does not permit an uncooled drive. Sony's limit is 11.25mm total thickness and 25mm width (see Sony's M.2 SSD requirements).
Coolers sold for the job are listed under standalone PS5 heatsinks; the measurement itself is explained in the 11.25mm height guide.
