Daily median price per terabyte of in-stock, new, PS5-compatible 2TB drives on Amazon.co.uk, from our own sync, counting one row per model and only drives rated at 5,500 MB/s or faster. As of 21 October 2026. Our verified daily record starts on 12 October 2026; earlier figures were collected with a fault in the price refresh and are not shown.
How the record is built
Each day we take every in-stock, new, PS5-compatible 2TB drive, keep the cheapest listing of each model, and store the median and the minimum price per terabyte. Only drives rated at 5,500 MB/s or faster count. The method is fixed so that days can be compared.
Why the record starts in October 2026
Figures we collected before 12 October 2026 were affected by a fault in how prices were refreshed, so we do not present them as history. We would rather show a short record that is right than a long one that is not.

Frequently asked questions
How far back does the price history go?
The verified record starts on 12 October 2026.
Why the median and not the cheapest price?
The cheapest listing can be a one-off. The median shows what a typical compatible drive costs.
Why 2TB?
It is the most popular size and has the most listings, which makes the median stable.
